I couldn’t avoid writing this section, because come incredible things happened to me when I was writing the book. Sometimes, I would leave the book for quite a while without progressing much on it, but I saw news from things that I had written some time ago and the technological advances were catching up on me, they were already beginning to exist. Then I realized that everything would advance faster than what the book shows us. It is a future that we could be defined this way:
“This story is based on probably very true facts. Any similarities with reality (present or future) are not so pure coincidence”.
Another one of the surprising things was that a place I had described with a lot of details turned out to be a real place; I discovered it some time later, dates and details coincided. Although I don’t want to give you all the details, in the book’s epilogue I describe it like remarkable information.
I don’t want to give you much more details because I would end up by eliminating the attractive moment you’ll have when you read the story.
Akiro:
It is a Japanese name which can be used in the male or the female way, the same happens with Akira. In Japan, many names can be used either for male or for female and it is much more usual than in the West.
Among the meanings that the name Akiro has, I remark: “determined, energetic, competitive and stubborn”, characteristics that are reflected in the character.
Walkers: It means “wanderers”. I chose this name because of a family I had met a long time ago and I thought it was attractive; as a coincidence, the word “walkers” is really relevant to the story.
Mare Ruch: The name of the city is the union of two words in different languages:
Mare= “Great” in Romanian.
Ruch= “Noise” in Czech.
